First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for subscribing to Lost Meandering Thoughts.
I know that it can be difficult to move to a new platform to follow someone. It is a bit like the leap of faith when you quit a job or fall in love. ❤️ I just hope I can ensure that this decision is something you never regret.
You might be getting the following questions in your head…
Why Substack?
Why does he want my email?
Will he even have a story for me every week?
You said I'll get an email every Sunday, what is this?
I will try to answer them one by one. 😅
So first, why Substack?
The answer is quite simple, Instagram simply sucks. It was meant for artists and creators when I joined back in 2014, but over the years it's just becoming another annoying social media platform. Writers/Artists/Creators/Photographers who made Instagram famous are leaving in hordes because of their infamous feed algorithm. I don't blame them, they want to make money too. But what is more dear to me is my audience, however small it may be. I want my writing to reach you and Substack helps me do that. I will be content that my writings reach your inbox and it is then up to you to read it, skim through it or ignore it altogether.
This brings me to, why I need your email?
Substack has been designed to ensure my posts reach your email inbox. It is not mandatory, but it is recommended. I promise you I will not be sharing your email address with anyone. It is safe with me. 😇
You might also be thinking, will he be able to send a new story every week?
I will, to the best of my ability. In fact, I already have a few weeks worth of content waiting to hit your inbox in the coming month.
Lastly, will I be spamming your inbox?
No, not at all, this post is to just welcome you. But my friend suggested that I should also connect with my audience with some wholesome content. So if I'm able to find something wholesome for you, I will send out an odd email apart from the short stories every Sunday. I hope you wouldn't mind that. 😉
Lastly, it is because of people like you, the ones who love to read, that I get the motivation to write. So thank you once again and it is my humble request that if possible, could you share this post and maybe every new post I write to you with one new person? It will help Lost Meandering Thoughts to reach out to a bigger audience and the bigger this community gets, the more I will be motivated to write for you.
